✨ Product Guidelines

To keep our marketplace safe, hygienic and trustworthy, all items listed on The Beauty Exchange must meet these product guidelines.

Please read carefully before listing.

Condition Requirements

All products must be:

    •    Authentic (no counterfeits), buyers can ask for proof of purchase if not disclosed, using the contact seller button on the listing 

    •    In good condition

    •    Free from cracks, leaks or damage

    •    Accurately represented in photos and description

Fill Level

    •    Products must be new or at least ¾ full

 Hygiene Standards

For hygiene and safety:

    •    All items must be cleaned before listing (packaging, lids, pumps, bottles)

    •    No residue, fingerprints, spills or build-up

    •    No items with tampered, broken or missing seals

What’s Not Allowed

For health and hygiene reasons, the following gently used items cannot be listed:

• Products applied directly to the face (mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick, gloss)

• Open-pot/jar products where fingers dip in (moisturisers, balms, masks)

• Any product clearly heavily used or unsanitary

Packaging

    •    Must be secure and fully functional

    •    No shattered powders

    •    No damaged boxes

    •    No faulty pumps/droppers

    •    No dented or warped packaging that affects use

Photos

Your listing must include:

    •    Clear, unfiltered photos

    •    The actual item (no stock photos alone)

    •    Remaining volume

    •    Any marks or imperfections

Buyers rely on your photos for honesty and clarity.

 

🚫 Prohibited Items

These cannot be listed under any circumstances:

• Expired items

• Samples or “Not for Resale” products

• Counterfeits/replicas

• Medical-grade or prescription products

• Cold-chain items 

• Broken tools or non-working devices

• Decanted or refilled products

• Tampered seals

 

Quality Checks

Listings may be removed if they:

    •    Don’t meet hygiene or safety standards

    •    Are inaccurately described

    •    Include misleading photos
